Mattéa (Téa) Overstreet is an emerging singer-songwriter making acoustic soulpop waves in the heart of California’s Central Valley.

Growing up in Modesto, she picked up her mother’s guitar at age 12, and began her musical journey. Influenced by Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill, Joss Stone, jazz and R&B, Mattéa began wowing fans with her honey-smooth vocals on YouTube, and scored her first paying gig at the age of 15.

Mattéa celebrated several milestones in 2017 including the release of her debut EP, BAD SEED. These songs of surrender and release, lust and loss, inspired the Central Valley Conservatory to create a full-length theatrical production and BAD SEED, An Album Come Alive played to sold out crowds in early 2018.

In 2017, Mattéa was honored by the Modesto Area Music Association with their MAMA Award for Singer-Songwriter of the Year.

She currently plays festivals, concert halls, coffeehouses, house concerts, and private events throughout Northern California.
Téa's second original EP, "Shallow" was released on June 21, 2018.
