While building an audience online, she attended open mics in her hometown of Modesto, CA, and by age sixteen was being approached for professional work in music entertainment. Mattéa was a teenager when she started running business as an acoustic singer/guitarist available for hire. From 2012 to 2019, Mattéa has provided entertainment for countless audiences and events of all varieties, clocking in at around 130 performances each year.

In 2017, the release of Téa’s debut EP, “BAD SEED” catapulted her career as an artist and songwriter. Her first collection of original music aligned her with a consistently growing fanbase and has currently sold over 500 copies.
These original songs tell an empowering story of release and growth, which inspired local playwright Summer Krafft, and the Center Stage Conservatory to create a full-length theatrical interpretation.
“BAD SEED: An Album Come Alive” played to sold out crowds in early 2018.

In 2017, the Modesto Area Music Association honored Mattéa with the
